Look up some Driver 3 footage and say to yourself how could this game get a remotely high score, even for a game from 2004? This game did not need to be a bad one: the premise remains ripe with extraordinary possibilities. Both on foot and in a car, your control over the action is limited, at best. The game's driving portions are better than the on-foot stuff, but not all that much better. You kind of get used to it but it still sucks. If you see ANYONE giving this game a 10 out of 10 or other high score, they're most likely paid shills. the cutscenes are the best. Altough, there are a few minor problems that makes this game worst than the last one(that wasn't bad at all). A sane, logical type of person might assume that the large gap between the borderline-broken console versions and the newly released PC edition was used to fix the game's serious problems. The combat in the game isn't tense at all, and it mostly consists of running up to enemies and blasting them...before they blast back, if possible. Don't let this controversy be buried or let the positive scores fool you.
Good music. You'll start out in Miami, eventually make your way to Nice for some French car chases, and you'll also spend some time in Istanbul. Some missions seemed imposible to pass, but some were too short and too easy. Rockstar take three years to produce masterpieces, benchmarks of game design, but Reflections have taken almost double that time and give us an unfinished, unpolished mess.

Part of the game's story involves finding out who the thieves in the car ring are working for, where the cars are going, and who's double-crossing whom. I was then looking forward for a Driver II to come out. This game was a blast to play back when it was still only a few years old. The character controls are pretty standard to both third person and FPS titles, but they are very stiff and slow. The missions tend to vary from city to city, but the lackluster gameplay really prevents many of the missions from being much fun. GameSpot may get a commission from retail offers. While you probably wouldn't expect much more from a gruff undercover guy like Tanner, all of his movements look stilted and jittery, and the gunplay--despite giving you access to a number of different pistols, submachine guns, an assault rifle, a shotgun, and a grenade launcher--is decidedly underwhelming. There was no social media when this game was released so the controversy was buried. When a car takes too much damage to continue on, the engine merely stops making noise and the car rolls to a stop. Mediocre reviews for a high-profile videogame? based on Driv3r is a game for me. Most of the gunfire is rather subdued and unimpressive--this only serves to make the on-foot combat seem even more ineffectual. A big part of what makes Driver 3 so bad is a series of technical, graphical glitches that make the game look like an absolute mess. In that regard Reflections have done well. It does happen from time to time, as the new release "Resident Evil 6" demonstrates.
You can run it in a wide variety of video resolutions, and you can fiddle with the draw distance and antialiasing, as well. Tanner returns in a flawed but quite enjoyable game!

Car engines and the like sound appropriately throaty. You can fire weapons, you can halfheartedly jump, and you can duck to perform some pretty lame rolls. Personally I feel that as a DRIVING game, Driv3r is actually quite solid; cars have a sense of weight to. Additionally, the game's voice work is quite stiff. Just know that this game was a buggy.
