unsc infinity sister ship

It's the UNSC Infinity's sister ship, whose parts were used to repair and upgrade her older sister.I knew that Eternity was Infinity's sister ship. While many of us in this sub know of the existence of the Eternity, I find it hard to imagine an appearance in a game that won't feel contrived. The fact such a ship can exist really conveys the sense that the status-quo has changed, and I love that - too many franchises are scared to change the status-quo. I think most of infinity is still alive along with blue team. It always strikes me as odd that the Infinity is hated because it gives the UNSC too much power, but consider how it has been used. I have posted about a crackpot theory where the Eternity showed up under Created control, the Infinity is destroyed, but the majority of the crew survives. Another possibility is that chief was part of the INFINITY's escort fleet that got destroyed in the fight while the INFINITY itself escaped. If you hold that against the Infinity then you’d be putting decades of sci-fi on trial. Given that they seem to be going for this whole "we've already lost" angle and having John basically be alone against the Banished, I can't imagine the Infinity surviving. If it is destroyed I sincerely hope it is not offscreen. Were Spartan IVs also in development earlier? I know the created pretty much EMP'd (for lack of a better term) most planets and colonies but it would be cool to see a few ONI Black-sites that are still up and running away from the prying eyes of the traitor AI's and Cortana. I will concede that for story sake it would be far too convenient for the Eternity to just show up full armed to repel the enemy. Personally my money's on Lasky. I think that's rather the idea. Something like that where the eternity or infinity knocks a Banished ship out of slipspace would be epic. At 3.5km long, 1.1km wide, and 950m in height the Reaper-Class competed with the largest of UNSC military vessels of the time excluding the undisclosed UNSC Infinity. The logic behind it was that Humanity was at the brink of extinction, and the Covenant was whittling away at the UNSC fleets so consistently that there'd soon be nothing left, so the UNSC threw all of their eggs in one basket to make a ship that could take the punishment and keep going, a ship that could take the last remnants of humanity somewhere beyond Covenant control if needed. On October 28, 2558 the Sol system is under Created occupation, which we can assume also includes the Oort Cloud where Eternity is being constructed. I’d rather it not be a flashback or terminal either, it would take some of the weight out of the moment since we already knew it had happened. I didn't study the cutscene too much but is it possible that UNSC INFINITY was destroyed while fighting the Banished on the ring? The UNSC Dawn Under Heaven was a UNSC Halcyon-class light cruiser. It was a sister ship of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn. It's a sign of progress. The UNSC already had Punic-class Supercarriers. 343 can't just kill them off saying "oh they are all dead". I think all of those markers that read Deceased were just under the umbrella of Infinity. Honestly, I think it'd make a pretty solid hook. Good enough to enforce a change of insignia on everything. Whatever it is I’m still excited to get my hands on Infinite. Whatever it is I’m still excited to get my hands on Infinite Show More Show Less. It was designed to evacuate the leadership of the UNSC and UEG and go fleeing across the galaxy and abandon Earth and the majority of the remaining Human population to death. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. It makes sense in my opinion in-universe of how and why humanity built it, and even though it is "overpowered" there really hasn't been a point in the games where you felt invincible. We’ve seen so little of the fighting so far but I do remember seeing a UNSC ship crashed on the Halo when John disembarked the Pelican, and it did resemble the Infinity a little bit, but it was too small as a whole to be the Infinity unless it was only one half of the ship. One thing that really disappointed me in the newer games is the fact that the Infinity exists. Cue epic action sequence where the surviving crew of the Infinity manages to board and capture the Eternity. Resembling the Paris-Class Heavy Frigate in general shape the Reaper-Class did feature some crucial differences such as the ventral hangers on the port and starboard sides of the ventral beam of the ship. Like most ships of its class, the Dawn Under Heaven was likely decommissioned some time before 2552, though some later returned to active service after receiving refits.. Trivia []. The UNSC Infinity and its compliment. Looking at you Millennium Falcon. I hope it’s not destroyed at the outset, we need to see it be destroyed. I disagree. I really hope the Infinity gets destroyed early on in Infinite. Humanity will never truly be backed into a corner again if the Infinity can just come riding in to save the day every time something goes wrong. Also i'd like to add that the UNSC were getting the shit kicked out of them in most space engagements, i just wanted to imagine a scenario where the UNSC had a legitimate space win :'), Just watch the spartan ops cutscene where the infinity rams a ship and gets out unscathed. I felt the same way as OP but also reading the Kilo-Five trilogy gives you so much more insight and backstory...I actually really dig the UNSC Infinity now. This is interesting. As I recall, the Eternity wasn't scrapped for parts so much as modules originally intended for the Eternity (specifically, hull sections and weapons) so the Eternity is still as built as it was, just some parts were redirected. Odds are that Eternity is still unfinished, as the occupation of the Sol System happened one month after her modules were used to repair and refit Infinity, and its hard to build a massive supercarrier without Cortana finding out and sending a guardian to the Oort Cloud. I Love the hype behind this game and all the theories and 'what if' scenarios people are coming up with. So I understand that the Infinity and her sister ship were under construction before the war even ended, which makes sense, but how can the UEG/UNSC massively expand their Spartan programs and operations when they were too broke to even build a proper memorial in Halo 3? A waste really, the thing is pushed as the best thing since the forerunners yet is barely bigger than a typical covenant assault carrier and I doubt much bbn more powerful. Honestly, it basically was the SoF 10x, and it's functions could have been easily done by other, smaller, cheaper carriers like the SoF. There are rumors that it might have crashed into the Halo ring, but as long as they don't just destroy everything and get rid of the characters as dirty as that, I'm assuming Infinity is in a bad situation they can't risk exposing themselves.
