The tents have an extremely strong and dynamic fiber that is both highly tear-resistant as well as fully waterproof.
The design remains largely the same across all three capacities, although the tents vary in weight, interior and vestibule space, and peak height. Now with a girlfriend who likes doing more camping and a dog I decided to try something with more room. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. I also appreciate the overhead pockets and lights inside. Additionally I noticed that there was a hole in the screen that had been repaired. The tent breathes comfortably in warm weather but kept us dry and cozy during a springtime storm. I use mine for backpacking with a friend, but it is also spacious enough to fit an inflatable queen size mattress if you prefer car camping or "glamping." I'm taking this guy out to Glacier Soon and will update review after. The tent was super easy to set up and took less time than my north face. A duo sleeping pad fits easily, and I was able to roll up the sleeping pad along with the tent, fly, and stakes so that everything fits into the tent sack for easy backpacking.
Big Agnes has the Carbon Collection that defines some of the lightest weight and technologically advanced material made tents in the market. The zippers are certainly not waterproof.
I sat three adult in this tent with ease, though definitely not enough room for more than two sleeping. Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2017. We were skeptical of the mtnGLO system, but after playing a long round of cards during a stormy night, are now firm believers in both the "fun" aspect and the easy of doi… This is something new or not the model I have expected to buy, Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2018.
Beats me. You can still see all customer reviews for the product. No issues in 25mph gusts on the trail up Mt Whitney. We thoroughly enjoyed testing this tent while camping around southwestern Montana in varying conditions. This tent is exactly what I was looking for. As we touched on above, the 2P we tested struggled to fit two wide-width sleeping pads, so … The integrated lights are a nifty extra. The quality seems good, but I purchased a footprint separately to prolong its life further. This tent was a return item missing some parts and had a hole, Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2020. I had previously purchased the Fly Creek model but was disappointed that, even though it is technically a free-standing tent, it's really best if stakes are used, at least on the narrower end. Very bummed that we can’t return it since we purchased back in January 2019 and stored it in our camping gear closet.
I LOVE that Big Agnes changed the door flap configurations from rolling down to rolling to the side. It has different configuration, different poles architecture and different measurement and different weight.
The company kept up to its history when it introduced the mtnGLO Tent Light … Simply spread the inner tent on the ground, insert the poles, and clip the inner tent hooks to the poles. I'm 5'10 and feel like there's ample room inside for me and my gear. It's lightweight and spacious, and even my first time, I was able to set it up in under 5 minutes. I didn't even try setting the tent up until I got to my first campsite, easy setup, good craftsmanship. Being happy with the overall quality of Big Agnes I opted to try a different model, and this Copper Spur 3-man is perfect. I received my tent on Monday, and I left on vacation Tuesday.
Life is too short to use bad camping gear. There's a problem loading this menu right now. It also dried fairly quickly when it was time to put it away. We like Big … There's a reason the Big Agnes' Rattlesnake SL2 mtnGLOreceived scores including 9/10 for comfort, weather resistance, and durability. Lightweight, easy to setup, durable so far. The polyester on the front is waterproof, but with minimal fly coverage, we still worry. Can't say enough good things about this tent. It requires two stakes at the foot end to set up fully. Why can’t all manufacturers do this? To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. For 1P ultralight hiking, i've read a lot of recommendations about the Nemo Hornet but I just can't stand the neon green. We just used this tent for the first time last weekend 6/29/19 up above Bridgeport, Ca. I have to say you you really feel the difference. The Big Agnes Titan 6 mtnGLO is a bit of a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde in this category. If it's pretty dark out they provide a decent amount of light though don't replace what a tent lantern will do. The Fly Creek still serves my purposes well enough for a smaller, lightweight tent for a bugout bag, but for more recreational camping (but still also for lightweight backpacking) I wanted a true free standing tent, and one that was a little larger to accommodate a 6'5" boyfriend.
I think the product is great, but the company that was shipping it did not include all of what normally comes with the tent.
I love the added touches of the inside pockets and the holes at the bottom for headphones, as well as little loops to hang things from and to hook the door flaps open. Still light enough to hike with, but also still durable with Big Agnes quality materials. I thought my Tadpole was light but this is more or less half the wieght which is amazing considering it also has more space. I bought this tent to replace my North Face Tadpole 23 which served me well for over 7 years. It worked perfect for 2 kids (teenager sized) as well. One season low elevation tent, that you will freeze your ass off in. The LED lights are pretty cool, however you will not be reading by those lights alone.
SO happy with this tent!
